Some time back we posted this article about the restoration of a 1912 Sohmer Queen Ann baby grand piano. Well, we did not continue to post pics about it as we restored the piano, but it is beautiful. We are finally taking some time to begin updating our articles and talk more about our projects. Enjoy the updated pics and you will see how this piano became the "Cinderella" of our shop.
Here is the "Before" pic...the lacquer shows none of the grain that is under the piano. The piano was also so full of dust and dirt nothing could be seen, including the internal logo.
Here is a small gallery of what the piano looks like now. We found the veneers were Honduran Mahogany. Look closely at the flares in the grains. Beautiful.
