Digital Piano Conversion

We have had requests to build a digital piano or keyboard into an existing piano cabinet. Here is a fun project we completed for a customer. The piano was an old player piano acquired at an auction. Unfortunately the player and the piano itself was not in very good condition, so the owners asked if we could put an 88-key digital keyboard into the upright case.

The player needed to be completely removed, then the piano pars themselves, including the keys and the action. The front of the piano was altered and even the piano pedal was altered to function as the keyboard sustain pedal. Once completed, the customer was going to paint the piano as a DYI project for themselves.

Kudos go to Sam, the shop manager. He did all the modifications to make things fit and work properly. Good job Sam! We're going to do the same thing for a grand piano case soon, so check back!
